The weight behind each swing carries way more sting than my old wooden paddle, and the silicone surface doesn't leave splinters or rough edges. It's admittedly on the pricier side, but for anyone serious about their collection this earns its spot.
The silicone has a completely different feel than leather — it flexes just enough that the sting lands sharper and cleaner. I've used it a few times now and it's easily become the first thing I reach for.
The silicone has a surprising amount of heft and transfers impact way more cleanly than I expected. Only knock is that it's a bit grippy if your hands are sweaty, so you have to keep a firm hold. Still, it's earned a permanent spot in the toy bag.
